About Wayward Lasses
Where fearless curiosity meets practical wisdom
Hi, Iβm Imee β I Didnβt Get AI (and I didnβt want to)
Here's the truth: Tech excites me. New systems? Bring them on. Process optimization? My jam. But AI felt... different. Too big. Too complicated. So I avoided it.
I've spent over 20 years in corporate Americaβprogram management, knowledge management, operations strategy. I still work full-time, building systems, managing complex projects, and helping teams work smarter. And I'm good at it.
But when AI started showing up everywhere? I froze.
Everyone seemed to understand it instantly. They were using ChatGPT for everything, automating workflows, creating content in seconds. Meanwhile, I was digging in my heelsβconvinced I didn't need it, that my way of working was just fine, thank you very much. But deep down? I knew I was being resistant just because change felt uncomfortable.
"Then something shifted. I stopped waiting to 'figure it out' and just started experimenting. One prompt. One tool. One small win at a time."
And I discovered something powerful: AI isn't about being tech-savvy. It's about being brave enough to try.
Now? AI saves me 10+ hours every weekβtime that used to disappear into email clean-up, notification triage, and content creation. AI helps me cut through the noise: it filters junk mail automatically, summarizes my daily ClickUp notifications so I can focus on what matters, drafts emails and reports that used to take me an hour, and turns content ideas into polished drafts in minutes. Those reclaimed hours? I'm investing them in building something beyond my 9-to-5.
The kicker: If I can do this, anyone can.
That's why I started Wayward Lasses: AI Unafraidβto document my journey and help other professional women stop feeling intimidated and start feeling empowered.

Still Corporate, Slowly Exploring
After two decades of managing complex programs and building knowledge systems, I understand what it's like to feel both competent in your field and completely lost when it comes to new technology.
I'm not here to teach you coding or explain neural networks. I'm here to show you that AI can work for real people juggling real responsibilitiesβno computer science degree required.
My approach? Develop AI skills that make me better at my day job, share the lessons honestly, and apply what I learn to building something on the side.
What Makes This Different

Where the Name Comes From
Before "AI Unafraid," there was the Wayward Lasses Podcastβa mother-daughter conversation celebrating women of every age and stage in life.
My daughters and I created it to explore the beautiful mess of being women navigating careers, relationships, motherhood, and personal growth. We laughed, we shared stories, and we built a community around the idea that there's no "right way" to do life.
That podcast is currently on hiatus as life has taken us in different directions, but the spirit remains.
Being a "wayward lass" means:
π Forging your own path, even when it's unconventional
π Learning out loud without waiting for permission
π Supporting other women on their journeys
π Embracing the messy, imperfect process of growth
You can still listen to our original episodes if you want to hear those conversations
Right now, Wayward Lasses: AI Unafraid is something Iβm building on the side while working full-time.
One of my daughters may join this journey as it grows, because the best learning happens together. And who knows? Maybe the original podcast will return someday in a new form.
For now, I'm focused on helping YOU get AI unafraid.
