Hey all you Wayward Lasses and Lads! It’s the end of the month and what better way to end the month than to dress up for Halloween! The Lasses used their creative talents and painted their faces using paint and makeup to make a mask of their choice. Listen in as they get to work. If you haven’t noticed yet, all episodes in October have a Fall / Halloween theme. That being said, we thought it would be FUN to do an episode on the Top Worst Candies of All Time. Join us as we not only share with you what candies made that list, but we’ll be tasting each candy, sharing our reactions, and discussing whether we agree it should be on the list or not. Many of the holidays we celebrate have deeply-rooted traditions. The U.S. holiday, Halloween, has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people lit bonfires and wore costumes to ward off ghosts to welcome the harvest at the end of summer. We can trace the earliest roots of the Day of the Dead holiday to the Aztec people who used skulls to honor the dead. Ever been in a situation that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand straight up? Ever experienced something unexplainable, creepy or just downright scary? Well it’s October and in the United States we celebrate Halloween on October 31st. Children and adults dress in costumes and attend parties, visit haunted houses, and go door-to-door “trick-or-treating” to collect sweets from their neighbors. In honor of Halloween, we thought we would dedicate this episode to scary / weird stories that we’ve experienced in our lives.
